Introduction
The 1-D audio parameterization methods are well established and widely used in many of the computational bioacoustic tasks outlined in Chapter 3, and more specifically, those related to one-species detection (Section 3.1), species identification (Section 3.2), one-category recognition (Section 3.4), one-species recognition (Section 3.5), sound event-type recognition (Section 3.8), and so on.
