Vaccine adjuvant informatics

Abstract:

The design of new molecular entities (NME) is a highly combinatorial science due to the huge array of diverse protein targets and the large chemical search space. The virtual library approach allows us to rapidly screen large libraries of compounds to identify virtual hits, which can then be purchased or synthesized, and verified experimentally. An adjuvant is an agent that is added to vaccines to enhance immune response and induce protection. It is included in the cocktail of almost all existing subunit vaccines together with antigenic peptide sequences.
