22. Finding and Installing New Apps

Your new computer system probably came with a bunch of programs preinstalled on its hard disk. Some of these are the apps that come with Windows 8, some are preview or limited-use versions provided by the PC manufacturer (included in the hope you’ll purchase the full version if you like what you see), and some are real, honest-to-goodness fully functional applications. The more the merrier.
