Why and How I Wrote this Book

I ventured into the field of C programming as a young novice undergraduate like you about fifteen years back. At that time I had a little programming experience with BASIC, PASCAL and FORTRAN languages. I had heard about the enormous power of C programming language and was fascinated about it. I learnt and practiced it for about five years, and then fortunately had the opportunity to teach it to young engineering students at PEC University of Technology (formerly Punjab Engineering College), Chandigarh.
