I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Objectives
On completion of this chapter, you should be able to
- Understand various types of resources that exist in MS-Project
- Understand how to create and assign resources in a project using MS-Project
Once the sequence of tasks (activities) is known, the next step is to prepare the Resource Sheet indicating resources which may possibly be assigned to various tasks. This may not be a necessary step, only when you do not have any resources in house and outsource the entire work. This is not the case with most of the projects and a key constraint of many projects is resources. Assigning resources and estimating durations have to be done in all such cases to develop the project schedule.
