JOHN BUCHANAN is an assistant professor of computer science at the University of Alberta. He is receiving his PhD in computer science from the University of British Columbia. His research interests include volume rendering, 3-D texture mapping, and non-realistic rendering.

THIERRY DELMARCELLE is a research assistant in the Fourier Optics and Optical Diagnostics Laboratory at Stanford, where he is completing work on a PhD in applied physics.
