Time becomes the most important factor when a truck is late. A show normally loads-in at noon and gets a sound check done by 6 p.m. (on average, depending on production complexity). When the truck does not arrive until 4 p.m. or 5 p.m., can the show be ready? It had better be! Here is where your organizational skills and efficient use of local resources are really put to the test. Problems on the road can be handled on a day-to-day basis if you stay calm and face each one with your mind open to several alternative solutions. Make your decisions as quickly as possible.
