EFFECTS UNITS

A multitude of different effects units are available. Most of them are digital delays or reverberation units. Effects for live performances either reproduce the sound of the performer's recording or complement the performance creatively. Echoes, or separately identifiable repeats, should blend in with the music and not sound like an electronic malfunction. Figure 9–1 shows an effects rack.
