Chapter 4. Implementing a Route Plan

After phones and gateways have been added to the cluster, a dial plan must be created to allow calls to reach destinations outside the cluster. As soon as the first directory number is entered in Communications Manager, the creation of a dial plan begins. By default, calls that are placed to destinations within the same cluster can be successfully routed. This is because all directory numbers that are registered to the Communications Manager cluster become part of that cluster’s dial plan.
