The following sections discuss the initial configuration requirements of the New GL. We will work through the basic configuration needed to use the New GL process within the ECC environment.
Configuring the New General Ledger Accounting
As mentioned earlier, any existing customer of SAP will not be required to activate the New GL and the Classic GL will remain active and available. However, we strongly suggest that you move to the New GL in the future to take advantage of the benefits and to streamline your FI process.
