Most entrepreneurs don't lack vision. They are visionaries in the business world, seeing things others cannot and creating solutions others will not. Entrepreneurs tend to have great business vision.
But what about the entrepreneur's Life Vision? Even though entrepreneurs tend to be good at business vision, quite often their Life Vision is lacking, leading to personal consequences that are dangerous and sometimes tragic. Entrepreneurs can feel like they're serving the business instead of their business serving them. Before long, we can feel trapped, consumed and controlled by the business, even when the business is “successful.” This can create ugly results in the personal lives of entrepreneurs, as we've already mentioned.
Our second key to business and personal success is Life Vision. And after Mindset, Vision is the most foundational key to achieving balanced growth in your business and personal life. Because when your business fits into the bigger picture of your Life Vision, the business can serve you instead of you serving the business.
