INTRODUCTION

The return of consciousness to the psychological sciences seems, at the moment, inevitable. After a lengthy exile from the world of research and carrying a reputation of “bad science,” consciousness finally strikes back. The number of books and articles published on this subject during the last few years is amazing, and the amount of interest and attention philosophers and cognitive scientists have devoted to consciousness is steadily growing.
