Introduction
Scholars studying women in the Arab Gulf countries highlight the role of political leaders in shaping women’s positions in the economic, social and political spheres (Al-Awadhi, 2005; Fakhro, 2005). Given the limited studies in this region (Jamali, 2009), the existing literature on Arab women’s entrepreneurship is yet to recognize the political leader’s role in shaping women’s entrepreneurship. The results of this study demonstrate this important role.
