Optimal Control of Nonlinear Systems
Using the nonlinear operational matrix derived in Chapter 2 and other relevant operational properties of LPs and BPFs, an approximate solution for a nonlinear optimal control problem with quadratic performance index is given. Three illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity of the approach.
Looking at the historical developments on solving optimal control problem of nonlinear systems via the OF approach, we find that not much work has been reported.
