Abstract
This chapter is an extended overview of the author's ideas and contributions to the spectrum-based tuning of controllers designed for linear time-invariant time-delay systems. Numerous control design methods and techniques yield an infinite-dimensional feedback control system. Then we have to deal with infinitely many feedback system poles. The rightmost (dominant) subset of the spectrum ought to be suitably placed to the stable (i.e., open left-half complex plane) region.
