Modelling a Control System—Block Diagram Representation

3.1 INTRODUCTION

Any control system will have a number of control components. A control system can be represented in block diagram form. For making a block diagram, first the transfer function of the system components are determined. They are then showed in respective blocks. These blocks are connected by arrows indicating the direction of flow of signals in the control system whose block diagram is being represented. The signals can pass only in the direction of arrows represented in the diagram.
