Distracted, Disorganized, Impulsive
People with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) are easily distracted, impulsive, and disorganized to an extent that significantly impairs their functioning. When they take medication for the first time, the improvement in functioning can be remarkable. Being able to concentrate and get their work done is only one important change. They may now be able to sit and listen to people for the first time.
