Appendix. ASP.NET AJAX Sneak Peek

ASP.NET AJAX is a free framework from Microsoft that adds Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) support to ASP.NET. Up until the fall of 2006, ASP.NET AJAX was known by the code-name of Atlas. Though the product has been rebranded, all the code and documentation still refers to the product as Atlas; as a result, the rest of this chapter also refers to Atlas. Thus, this appendix contains a brief overview of Atlas and provides some examples of Atlas integration with ASP.NET using the July 2006 CTP of Atlas.
