This chapter will get you started on the road to creating fantastic graphics with CorelDraw9. The simple shapes you create here are the basis for every drawing, no matter how complex. (Check out the train on this page. It's mostly simple rectangles and circles, but the complete drawing is rather complex—more than 150 objects!)
In this chapter you will draw rectangles and squares, and round their corners. Next, you will create ellipses and circles, then manipulate one of their properties to create pie shapes and arcs. Finally, you will learn how to set the default drawing settings for the Ellipse Tool.
