Structure and Transitions

Corporate media is produced to train, motivate, and inform. To accomplish these goals, it must impart infor- mation in ways that make it easily understood. In other words, it must have what I refer to as a high clar- ity factor.

The level of that clarity factor is directly affected by all the script elements we’ve been discussing: con- cepts, visualization, dialogue, narration, format, termi- nology, and so on. Clarity is also affected by two other, perhaps more subtle, elements: the structure of the script and the transitions used to move the viewer through its scenes.
