This book was written at the intersection of two subjects, strategy and CSR, which, for me, equates to the intersection of two Bills: First, Bill Werther, who taught me much of what I need to know about strategy and how to be an academic; and second, Bill Frederick, whose intellectual depth and generosity continue to shape the field of business ethics and will do so for many generations of academics to come.
