Corrosion Control and Monitoring

Abstract

The corrosion of offshore structures, pipeline, and equipment poses unique challenges for offshore facilities. These challenges result from the more severe environment and the difficulty of regularly accessing such facilities for inspection, monitoring, and rectifying possible damage. Corrosion in a structure’s internal parts and its external surfaces, which are exposed to the elements, require extensive inspection and monitoring, using various techniques.
