Turmoil and Conflict
Chang paced around the kitchen, picking at leftover takeout. It was the second time in a week that Rose stayed out late at a networking event. Although he had been supportive of her attempts to change career direction, his patience was running out.
Six months earlier, Rose had surprised him with a call from her office. “I’ve just quit my job,” she announced matter-of-factly. At first Chang was delighted.
