CAPTURING MULTIPLE EXPOSURES of a scene and blending them together into a seamless composite image allows you to go well beyond the technical limitations of your camera. That includes extending the brightness range you can capture with high dynamic range or extending depth of field with focus stacking. You can even capture images at different times of day to produce an idealized image that cannot be seen by the naked eye. The key is to imagine what is possible while still in the field so you can capture the right raw material for later combining in Photoshop.
