I've enjoyed rewarding experiences with many of the co-facilitators I've shared the platform with, and I've also worked with people who have added gray hairs to my mustache. If the two trainers don't connect, then running a session together can seem like walking through a minefield blindfolded. The more they try to stay out of each other's way, the more they continue their "tension convention."
