Geotagging and Location-Based Sharing
Among the standout features of the iPhone camera is its ability to tag individual images with the location where the photo was taken. That’s a powerful feature, because it enables you to use photo organization software, such as iPhoto, to sort through your photos by location. In fact, the iPhone’s own Photos app lets you scan your images by location with the Places feature (see Chapter 1). Beyond the Photos app, the iPhone’s location-tagging features enable a number of innovative tools for sharing photos with the help of the geographic data associated with them.
