Chapter 2. Finding a Focus
These real-life stories illustrate a variety of paths that people use to break into real estate. Our characters are all self-made. They come from many backgrounds. They train for a career in real estate in many different ways. There is no one personality type or background that leads to their success. What they all have in common, however, is an enthusiasm for the field, and an excitement about doing their own first deals—a deal in which they can share in the profits.
It may well be that one or a number of their stories will speak to you personally. If so, figure out why. After all, real estate is an entrepreneurial field—one in which you can play a role in determining your own success.
