Pedagogy, or “I’m a librarian, not a teacher!”
Abstract:
Librarians often do not perceive themselves as natural teachers, yet information literacy requires best practice in teaching. Drawing from the field of education, librarians (and their students) will benefit from an examination of their personal teaching style, the development and implementation of improved pedagogies and class planning, and an awareness of how students learn best.
