Chapter 7. Masks, Layers, and Effects

This chapter is about using frames to mask objects, working with layers to organize your work, and applying InDesign effects to create transparencies and feathered opacity effects.

In truth, animations don’t work perfectly when pasted into another object, commonly known as a mask. This doesn’t mean we can’t use masks. We just have to be a little more creative using them.

There are other times where you need to use one animated object to hide others. That’s when you need to pay close attention to how the objects are stacked in the Layers panel.
