CHAPTER 11

The Coaching Conversation

All of the previous chapters have been about the leader doing their personal and important work first in order to shift the long-held beliefs about management, performance, accountability, and outcomes. This chapter provides the next layer in moving the responsibility from the leader to the employee. Figure 11.1 provides a visual of the coaching component in The Accountability Model. It is very strategically placed here to ensure that the leader does there own personal work prior to engaging in the coaching conversation.
