In the introduction we talked about one problem—well, two problems really. We talked about the idea that Windows deteriorates over time, when multiple applications are loaded on the machine.
And, we also talked about how different applications could be trying to use .DLLs with the same name. These are big problems, but there are other big problems application virtualization can solve, as well.
NOTE
Application virtualization is the umbrella term for lots of possible solutions to these problems.
