8.8. The WSUS Console

Now that we've installed our WSUS server and configured our Group Policy, the remainder of the work and virtually all of the daily operational activities are done through the WSUS console. As stated earlier, the WSUS console arrives as a snap-in to the Microsoft Management Console. The WSUS console can be run either from a management workstation or from the WSUS server itself. Upon installing the server, the WSUS console will be available on the system as a snap-in to the MMC.
