8.11. Tips and Tricks for a Smooth WSUS Experience

So far, we've talked about many of the standard uses of WSUS within a computing environment. But some environments have special requirements like high availability or privilege granularity. In this section we'll discuss some of those "extra added features" provided by WSUS 3.0 for special needs.

8.11.1. Implementing WSUS Reporters

Upon installing WSUS, two local groups are created on the WSUS server. The first group, WSUS Administrators, identifies the users who have full rights to the WSUS instance on the server. This group is in addition to the Administrators group that natively has full rights to perform any action within WSUS.
