Video Editing

Editing is the process of turning the raw footage you shot into a video that someone will want to watch and learn from. It draws on your understanding of the content and of the instruction, plus a large measure of creativity to make the video interesting and effective.

One of our purposes in editing is to help the learner know what to pay attention to. We'll show the big picture for context and details for clarity.

Essential Software

Most computers include very basic editing software. On Macs, there is iMovie. On Windows, there is Movie Maker. These simple programs are not suited for serious editing. They are missing important features that are present in programs that cost only slightly more than free.
