11. Effects and Transitions
Creating an application means more than just populating components with data. Flex as an application framework is unique because it utilizes the Flash Player. Within Flex, you can leverage this to create fluid interactions with visual animations, called effects. Flex 3 has numerous animated visual effects that can be applied to any component, or components, within an application. With effects, components can dynamically grow in size, glow on a rollover, slide to a new position, or do a number of other interesting things within an application.
