13. Customizing AIR Applications
The Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) enables you to use Web technologies like Flex to create desktop applications. With AIR, you can extend a browser-based application to the desktop and have it run natively across multiple operating systems. Just like applications you create in the browser using Flex, you have an opportunity to create just as rich of an experience on the desktop. Most, if not all, of the methods discussed in this book can be used to customize an AIR application.
