Description

Project a pattern, texture, color, or image onto your subject. Projection can make unusual results that excite, intrigue, and even confuse the eye. Projections can be used to make stunning abstracts, or simply to achieve an unexpected lighting effect.

When you’re testing out this technique, consider projecting images that have detailed textures, which will look like they wrap around your subject’s skin or clothing. Or consider selecting repeating patterns that follow the contours of your subject and thus emphasize their form.
