Digital Black and White Roadmap

Creating a digital black and white photograph is an odd act of resistance, anachronism, and artistic passion considering that digital captures are for the most part inherently in color. One way or the other, starting with digital and ending up with black and white usually means discarding the color information in favor of gradations of gray.

It’s important to understand that the color information itself can profitably be used as the basis for this transformation to black and white.
