Creativity is defined as problem solving with novelty and relevance. Although novelty may be the fluctuating creative factor, relevance is the standard by which all solutions are measured. Novelty is useless if the problem isn’t solved. However, relevance isn’t a cut-and-dry characteristic.
Relevance comes in many flavors: absolute, comparative, and subjective, just to name a few.
