What Is a Keyword?

Simply put, a keyword is a descriptive word or phrase about an image. And although Lightroom manages all sorts of metadata, keywords are what matter most to photographers in terms of organization. Keywords allow us to log what our images are about, what they mean, where they were taken, what they were taken of, who they were taken for, what project they are part of, or for what client they were created.
