Do you work best in silence and solitude or with background noise and people around you? How can you entice yourself to sit at your desk or computer and reward yourself when you’ve spent time there? Do you tend to be disorganized and lose track of things and can you devise systems to make you function better?
Unfortunately, many people think of writing as a form of inspiration and wait for the muse to descend and strike them. You may wait a very long time! Thinking of writing as a job like any other can help. You need a routine, a place, and some discipline.
