Petar Veličković and His Deep Network

I was excited to speak with Petar Veličković, one of the leading research scientists at DeepMind – especially given my interest in graph neural networks, which is one of Petar’s key research areas.

I was eager to learn more about the break-through work that he and his colleagues are doing in using graph neural networks to help solve complex mathematical and scientific problems, and why this approach is so promising for certain problems. I also wanted to learn about the technology’s applications in tools we use in our daily lives, such as Google Maps.
