Malware is becoming an ever-more serious threat to the trustworthiness of our infrastructure. The problem has already reached proportions that many consider catastrophic, but the situation shows no signs of improving. Instead, as we rely on software in more and more settings, including vehicular and medical applications, the severity of the problem is intensified. Moreover, given the increasing reliance on software in our society, malware is no longer a threat just to Internet commerce, but also poses a risk in the context of electronic warfare.
