A Less Than “Progressive” Approach
Background
Progressive Insurance has been around for decades, but only captured the public’s attention a few years ago when it launched a quirky, fun advertising campaign featuring Flo, the “perfect” employee, who has boundless energy and loves helping customers save money on their insurance policies. Those ads have catapulted the insurance company into the same ranks as rivals Allstate, State Farm, and Geico.
That’s a long way from its beginnings in 1937 when Jack Green and Joe Lewis formed the insurance company in Mayfield Village, Ohio. Today, Progressive provides auto insurance for personal and commercial vehicles and professional liability insurance for businesses in 25 states.
