One of us was sitting on the forty-fourth floor of a large steel company headquarters, eating lunch with the top nine officers of the firm. At one point, the CEO leaned over and confided that he was about to fire a small team.
“What would be the best way to do that?” he inquired.
“What do they do?” the visitor asked.
“Um, they are Advanced Sales.”
“And what does Advanced Sales do?”
The CEO looked uncomfortable at the question.
“Anwar,” he said to the CTO, “please explain what Advanced Sales does.”
