We've now moved from planning to those interim processes that will prepare us to perform the tests. Before the test team can take on these processes, that team must be forged from carefully selected individuals. Excellent test teams achieve outstanding accomplishments, while mediocre ones sow discord within the development team and retard project success. Excellent test teams grow around good managers, and good managers nourish the careers of excellent test professionals within those teams.
