3. Improvements for Coders
The major thrust of the Dreamweaver CS5.5 update is to improve Dreamweaver’s compatibility with newer Web standards such as HTML5 and CSS3. As a result, many of the changes are of great interest to code wranglers.
One of the new features is the ability to validate your pages, whether they are static or dynamic HTML, with the W3C’s online validation service.
To make it easier to create CSS3 rules, the CSS Styles panel has been updated to include CSS3 properties. The CSS Styles panel also now includes browser-specific properties for Mozilla, WebKit, and Opera browsers.
