Acknowledgments

Many thanks to all those who helped with this book, including the many students I’ve taught who always help me see complex concepts through beginner’s eyes. Thanks to my technical editors, Daniel Quinn and Jennifer Davis, who saved me from embarrassing mistakes. We all owe a big debt of gratitude to the many web designers who have broken new ground by using CSS in creative ways and shared their discoveries with the web design community.

Thanks to David Pogue, who got me started, many years ago on this long adventure. Thanks to Nan Barber for refining my writing, fixing my mistakes, and keeping me on track.

—David Sawyer McFarland
