So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

However, you’ve also seen situations where CSS needs a little help — in the form of JavaScript — to provide a complete solution to a problem. This chapter further explores the combination of CSS and JavaScript commonly used to create complete solutions through the use of various Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The use of APIs has become incredibly popular because they make developers more productive, reduce the requirement to maintain massive amounts of software in-house, and solve a huge array of support issues (not to mention forcing someone else to foot the bill).
