Abstract
On-board data handling system (OBDH) architectures form the foundation for managing data on a spacecraft. Data are typically the primary driver and motivation for space missions. Due to constraints such as available power and communication bandwidth, design of OBDH systems requires detailed analysis of requirements for the four primary data elements: sources, sinks, transfers, and processing.
